While teaching my daughter how to ride her bike something really awesome happened.
You remember learning how to ride a bike; right?
How difficult you remember it being? Not sure what was the correct way, but listening to your parents instruct you toward success.
Remember?
I remember jumping on the bike with extreme confidence. Expecting to get on and rip down the street like Evil Kenevil. Wind in my hair and the pavement ahead; I was ready.
Until I started to ride and realized I was not ready at all.
I had no balance and was out of control headed for disaster. Terror took over, scared and tormented I reached for help.
My dad was right there, knowing and waiting for me to fall.
Fast forward to the present, as I am teaching my daughter to ride her bike, now I am the one there waiting for her fall and reach out for me to help.
As I was chasing her down the street I could not help but visualize what God does for us.
As she would begin to fall, I was always there to pick her up and set her back on track for success.
God does the same for us.
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. – John 3:16 KJV
Stop and think about that verse.
“He gave his only begotten Son, …” WOW.
Each and every time we fall as Christians, He is right there waiting for us to look for Him to help.
So much so that He gave his only Son to protect us and give us a way to safety, if we will ONLY believe in Him. We ONLY have to look to him.
What an Awesome truth found and comfort to know, HE is ALWAYS right there; just waiting.
